ASEAN Guidelines on Stability and Shelf-Life of Health Supplements

At-a-glance: This annex provides guidance on the requirements for conducting stability studies to ensure that health supplements meet established physical, microbiological and/or chemical specifications.

Background: There is a lack of international standards for conducting stability studies on health supplements. As such, it was decided to reference pharmaceutical standards in developing the new ASEAN guidelines. The end result is a set of guidelines that are largely identical to the pharmaceutical guidelines for conducting stability studies on medicines.
